What happens to text in the cloud?
In the cloud, your text is sent over the internet so a correction can be prepared. We enforce ZDR (Zero Data Retention): the correction provider does not store the content. It does not keep your sentences or responses in any history and does not use them to train its models. A provider that cannot meet these rules never receives your text.
englisher does not store the content either, with one exception: in the tester programme and Contributor mode we store cloud requests and responses with your separate consent, to improve the app. ZDR still applies at the provider. Data protection details.
Alpha testing
We are testing englisher with people who write in English at work or while learning. The app is currently available for Windows 10 and 11 only. This is an early version — suggestions may need checking, and we are still testing how it works with different editors. Accepted testers get the cloud and local versions free of charge, and in return let us look at their cloud requests — that is how we find the bugs our own tests miss.
- 1Sign up for the alphaSign in with a code from your email and accept the tester programme terms (in Polish). Your account page shows granted access or that your application is waiting.
- 2Install and correct your first sentenceDownload the installer for Windows 10 or 11. Sign in to the app with the same account. Select a short sentence, run the review and apply the correction.
- 3Report what you noticeThe “Report” button in the app opens a form. You can point to a specific request and attach a screenshot.

An engine running on your computer is less capable than cloud solutions. It may miss more errors and suggest less accurate corrections, especially in harder sentences.

The local plan is included — you don’t need a second subscription. The cloud uses more advanced engines that handle complex sentences, meaning and tone better. You can still switch to local mode, where your text never leaves your computer. Regular updates and support; the first 14 days are free.
Content is protected by zero data retention at the provider (ZDR). Even in the cloud, read a suggestion before you use it.
